Eggs Hatching Into Colorful Baby Chicks 🐣
This is one of our shortest clips. A group of eggs cracks open and out come baby chicks in bright, cheerful colors. That's the whole video, and for a toddler it's plenty.
What kids can learn
Real chicks grow inside eggs and peck their way out when they're ready. Most real chicks are yellow, brown, black or speckled, so the rainbow colors here are just for fun. That turns into a nice little game: ask your child which colors could be real and which are pretend.
You can also use the clip to practice color names, or pause it and count the chicks together. If you have a picture book about farm animals at home, this pairs well with it.
Talk about it: Where do baby chicks come from? If you could pick a color for a chick, what would it be?
